Social Housing in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality

Gauge was appointed by the Social Housing Foundation, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, the Development Bank of Southern Africa, The French Development Agency and the Gauteng Partnership Fund to carry out a market survey on social housing within Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. This involved policy and systems reviews, housing delivery agent analysis and a survey of 1,200 households in the appropriate income brackets and within targetted geographical areas. The findings of the study were used to develop detailed recommendations on how social and affordable rental housing could be supported and developed in the Metro
